When it comes to fancy opening night events, LAArtsOnline.com has been known to host a few, but the recent Jim Robb and Paige Media’s annual Halloween Costume Ball, held at the swanky Viceroy in Santa Monica, was a real lollapalooza.

The pool area was packed with costumed revelers who indulged on tasty hors d’oeuvres and a decadent candy bar. This Ball was all treat, no trick. The range of creative costumes ran the gamut from Ape Lincoln who took first place in the costume contest (winning a free stay at Viceroy…very nice!) to runner ups Gilligan and Ginger, to Braveheart, and Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI. Taking home an honorable mention, and probably most creative, was the One-night Stand Guy who got down-and-dirty on the floor with his “date.” Other cool costumes included Boy George, Fidel Castro, the Olson Twins, George Clooney, as well as the bevy of naughty nurses and walking dead.

Thanks to DJ Shark for getting all the ghoulies movin’ on the dance floor. Always the sign of a fun party when the dance floor is jammed packed. Everyone had a spooky good time. Lets do it again next year!
